a moment please…

kids. wow. although sometimes i might act like one, kids are a handfull. i turned on my tv not 25 minutes ago and began to watch a show called “super nanny.” these kids are bad. one boy, not more than 8-9 years old, curses and swears to his mom. he hits her and thows things down the stairs. when i think of my dicipline as a child i remember a paddle…not for rowing a boat. the status quo now has turned dicipline into a “time-out” on the “sad step.” although these approaches are good… children must be diciplined, a simple time out doesn’t solve these. call me a cave man for thinking that giving a spanking is a more responsive and memorable than a time out. we can spoil the child, but, we must not spare the rod. again…this only what i think…and who knows…it might just be i need another cup of coffee

Remember

on this 4th of july, lets not forget what has been given for the freedoms that we have. many men and women have fought and died to give us these. from our independence to the war in iraq, we have been given these–not because we are simply american, but because many fought for them. so, when you get the grill out or you start the fireworks, try to remember what this day really means. freedom and sacrifice.

The Star-Spangled Banner:

Oh, say can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines on the stream:
‘Tis the star-spangled banner! O long may it wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wiped out their foul footstep’s pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war’s desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Israel: America’s new outsourcer?

r1420142435.jpgReuters

As American companies have the choice to by-pass all the hard work by sending it to india, i think the american government should think about this choice too. in recent weeks the israel military, government  and people have shown that it is not afraid of what other countries say when they deside to blow up another country in the spirit of “anit-terrorism” and “national protection.” why then are we not like israel. america, the WW2 japan general said “a giant”, at least our government, is trying to walk without ripping the rice paper. diplomacy is one thing, but our men are risking their lives, serving our country. we go around the world with both hands tied behind our backs pussy-footing around trying not to get the world mad at us, but still trying to fight a brutaly sadistic enemy. let’s give our boys their hands back and let them take care of buisness… or else ask someone who’s govenment will– like Israel.

God bless our men and women fighting for us!
