Israel: America’s new outsourcer?

r1420142435.jpgReuters

As American companies have the choice to by-pass all the hard work by sending it to india, i think the american government should think about this choice too. in recent weeks the israel military, government  and people have shown that it is not afraid of what other countries say when they deside to blow up another country in the spirit of “anit-terrorism” and “national protection.” why then are we not like israel. america, the WW2 japan general said “a giant”, at least our government, is trying to walk without ripping the rice paper. diplomacy is one thing, but our men are risking their lives, serving our country. we go around the world with both hands tied behind our backs pussy-footing around trying not to get the world mad at us, but still trying to fight a brutaly sadistic enemy. let’s give our boys their hands back and let them take care of buisness… or else ask someone who’s govenment will– like Israel.

God bless our men and women fighting for us!

rainstorms

rain_160.jpg

well, we finaly got rain in SC. but, it brought some bad thunderstorms too. we really needed the rain though, it's seems like about a month since we last had rain. Storms, i never liked them until a few years ago. but, now, i find them refreshing in a way. you can always grab a good book and read for hours listening to just the rain drops and the occasional thunder. or you can find your special someone and just be with them out on the porch to watch, listen, and talk. i guess that's the best part about storms

only a few more months…

so i am stitting in my room because it is a good 94 degrees outside. i can remember just a few short months ago i was skiing down beech mountain with a group of friends and having the time of my life. although summer isn't that bad, you can always go jet skiing or go to the beach, nothing feels the same as snow falling you. the joy of skipping school to get to the mountain before anyone else. the memories you will take home with you and the skills you'll pic up along the way–not to mention the ski bunnys you can meet. call me crazy for liking it, but i need a good long winter this year. i cant wait till the first snowfall–maybe it will happen in early november–i can only hope. also- i have been trying to find some good ski's for the winter. i should be able to find a good deal in this off season.ski.jpgwoo hoo!!!

The Historian

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova

Wow what a crazy good book!!! i love it. a must read for anyone who loves a good story. with the life like flash backs and super story line, Kostova has knocked out a home run. here is the teaser from the back of the book:

MY DEAR AND UNFORTUNATE SUCCESSOR:

It is with regret that I imagine you, whoever you are, reading the account I must put down here.  The regret is partly for myself – because I will surely be at least in trouble, maybe dead, or perhaps worse, if this in your hands.  But my regret is also for you, my yet – unknown friend, because only by someone who needs such vial information will this letter some day be read.  If you are not my successor in some other sense, you will soon be my heir – and I feel sorry at bequeathing to another human being my own, perhaps unbelievable, experience of evil.  Why I myself inherited it I don't know, but I hope to discover that fact, eventually – perhaps in the course of writing to you or perhaps in the course of further events….

i must say, that i have had nightmares after reading certain passages. but i always come back to it, to fulfill my need for it. a must read

–thanks josh, i wouldn't have known it was so good

Love: lost in the distance from place to place, time to time, heart to heart

Love, Many people take this for granted. who would think that 3 simple words could have a profound inpact on people. the words: I love you.  these words (which shouldn't be said in haste) —a true personal, deep feeling— can bring up many different responses: good, bad, simple, extravagent, implied or expounded. whatever the response. it comes from the heart.

 a love,

though simple it may be,

i will give it to thee.

and then when i look to see

your heart to follow in love for me

i shall know, whatever i will view

my love for you-

was true

Newsboys- Blessed Be Your Name

Over the past weekend this song has brought on a new meaning. even when you break your foot, blessed be his name

Blessed be Your name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
And blessed be Your name
When I’m found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be your name

CHORUS:
Every blessing You pour out I’ll
Turn back to praise
And when the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the sun’s shining down on me
When the world’s “all as it should be”
Blessed be You name
And blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there’s pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

CHORUS

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name
I will bless Your name

CHORUS

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name
*Repeat*
